Aviation bloodA Story by Kathryn SmithMy mother's father was a pilot. My father's father was a pilot. My father's uncles flew with Charles Lindbergh during the war. They were all good friends. My father joined the Air Force and flew. And my mother jumped in my grandfather's plane. It's safe to say - I have aviation coursing through my veins. And I am proud of it. They say you should try new things - learn new skills - chase our dreams... I've always kept this to myself..but.. I want to fly a plane. I want to fly a small airplane. I don't want to literally become a pilot - I just have an ache to take off and soar. My earliest memories have to do with aircraft. I've known I could fly all my life. But it never occurred to me that if I really wanted to do it - I could. What was stopping me? Perhaps I was too afraid or had other things to worry about.. But now I get high off of the thrill of being in the sky. Controlling the plane. I love the feeling you get during takeoff. And the best part is - you get to break the rule of gravity for a while. So what do you think? Should I do this? Fly? I'm not going to live forever... © 2017 Kathryn SmithReviews
