Stand Down

Stand Down

A Story by Kathryn Smith

I think there's one thing you should know

I don't play games

This isn't a playground

So its time to drop your sticks and stones

I've been chasing dreams since I took my first step

and I'm going to be little Bo

So contemplate

If you're my sheep

You'll see:

There's no point in underestimating me

I'll let you in on a dirty little secret.

I take immense pleasure in killing with kindness.

Whenever someone is nasty to me, or tares me down, I straighten my crown and I remember who my father is.

I stand up and stare..

My dark brown eyes could shoot bullets.

and in a matter of seconds, my bullets would easily tare through soft flesh... straight into chest.

The wound in the beating heart could be crippling enough to stop life.

The words I write down on paper could roast someone to ashes.

Bitterly, brutally, and viciously..

I could look on in a triumphant gaze.

Just like Sansa after she put Ramsay with the dogs.

But I've found the sweetest way to have someone fall victim to my prey

Is to be kind.

Kindness with a stare..and then finding some strong assertive words works wonders.

And if you are lucky enough, karma will let you watch from afar.

I just found myself in a situation where someone was an absolute jerk to me.

They thought "my wild ways" (which actually are far from wild) were not good.

They thought the life I lived was not good.

And they scolded me for it and gave me some "wisdom."

The kind of wisdom that desecrates everything you are inside.

I am not a perfect robot.

I am not some dog that has to be trained.

I am learning..and I am growing.

I am my own woman (as a good friend has told me.)

And forever I will continue to be myself and live my life to the best of my ability.

I have to laugh at times because

A) I am not on drugs.

B) I'm not suffering from anything life threatening.

and C) I'm not selling my body or becoming a porn star.

Some people just need to take a step back and calm down.

They are indeed!
The most dangerous thing in the world is someone who knows who they are and is not afraid to project that persona onto the world. I liked this testament to your power. Very good. I’ll be sure to cross the street if I see you coming.

LOL your last line gave me a good laugh. Thank you! :) Thanks for the review.
Fook me. This is a vent in the style of Liam Neesons character in Taken - "I must warn you. I have a very specific set of skills...and I will kill you.'
Written in a whisper edged with a razor blade.
Did I say fook me already - Wow !
