RevivalA Poem by Kathryn SmithThey want to know
Who was slinking into my place
They don't need to know
This is how we play...
In my red robe
We met
His gaze took me away
I walked slowly to him
We kept this secrecy
And he slipped it off
My revival
His home
The touch
Skin
Our hands
My fingers
Entwined
Never apart
Kisses soft
Under stars we are
Pressure
Pressure
No one has to know
No one should know
We whisper
Together
Don't let me go
Outside
They wait
Eyes
Cameras
Torches
Knives
Guns
Inside
We mesh
We mold
Forever
As one
