Nude

Nude

A Story by Kathryn Smith

Its that feeling when you strip off all your clothes.

One by one.

Socks.

Pants.

Your shirt.

Your bra.

Panties.

Nothing on.

No cloth touching your skin.

Goosebumps rise.

Beauty in our skin.

It's the greatest feeling.

Who are we under the makeup.

Under the clothes.

Under our words and under our thoughts.

When we bare it all.

We bare our hearts.

Our souls.

We are living and breathing.

Our skin a tapestry.

Our life ticking away.

We are never more vulnerable I think than when we are naked. The body is an amazing creation and it appears that for every body and body shape there will be an admirer. But even in this the most basic realm, the advertisers would have us believe that there is a perfect form to which we must aspire and adhere.
This has a depth to it that is revealed the further down the poem we go. Class!

I loved the thought behind this write. I guess there are several communities around the world who live without wearing any clothes as they follow similiar principles. I think there are one or two here in WC as well. I used to wonder why only we humans wear clothes while every other species make do without it.

This is when you search beneath the beautiful, beneath the glossy muscular fancy eye. What lays beneath the beauty of ones self?

a poetic representation of the vulnerability of both physical and mental nudity, the idea one has nowhere left to hide

I agree.
"Our skin a tapestry.
Our life ticking away. "
Nude and more honest? Maybe. Your words honest and true. When we are truly bare. We show people true face. A amazing poem. Made the reader something to think about.
