Shout Out to my Ex

Shout Out to my Ex

A Story by Kathryn Smith

This is a shout out to my ex: You're really quite the man.
You made my heart break and it made me who I am

Here's to my ex

Hey look at me now

Well I'm all the way up

and you'll never bring me down

You'll never bring me

Funny how things work.

When it rains it pours.

For a while I thought I was this crazy, atrocious girl - who had something very wrong with her.

But for this entire month - I have had so many people express interest.

And I am in awe.

And the best part is, one of them is your own friend.

You live a sad life, and as you're wallowing away in your misery - you made me rise.

I wrote you one last letter - and I let you decide if you wanted to continue to be friends.

I have not heard from you - which doesn't surprise me.

Never again will I put my heart and soul into someone who does not do the same.

I am a woman you wasted. And I hope to this day you feel awful about it.

Now I am unstoppable.

I am a force - and a woman who now has finally realized her worth.

So thank you.

Thank you to all of my exes - two out of the three of you have come back and tried to rekindle things in the worst way possible.

None of you had respect.

Sorry not sorry.

You lost your chance.

And I am long gone. Running into a new man's arms.

Well...God took my husband if you would want to call him my ex. I would shout all day to the heavens if that would bring him back to me. Valentine

First of all, Kathryn Kudos to you for writing at the top. I could relate to it very well and yeah that was amazing. The story is amazing. I guess we should never ever invite the people from the past to ruin our present instead move on with the new zest we discovered after the storm has left. You Rock with your new story Kathryn. God Bless You dear :)
