Your PoemA Chapter by Kathryn SmithYour Poem What’s a girl to do? Especially when she has to deal with you. Under a wall of red My heart broke in your bed. Daylight seeped through your window and I was full of dread You were sound asleep. Your head on my head. Did I ruin the magic? Did I love you enough? Did I love too much? You are sad and how I desperately wish I wish I could see you through. One night you made me curry. Another night we had cake. We laughed. I talked. But I could never look at you. A broken girl I am. A broken man you are. But together we built joy! With a low roar of music; mars could hear it. I could taste it on your lips. But I was too late. What is a girl to do? When goodbye was said too soon. And when a kiss couldn’t make us move.
