Alone

Alone

A Chapter by Kathryn Smith

Alone

I stood alone

Tears in my eyes

The view

It overwhelmed me

I observed

Floods of faces

Hundreds of feet

Trekking to see beauty

Languages

Laughter

All in awe

Couples and families

Strangers and friends

Smiles and glee

Music floated through breeze

There was never ending love

They were all in peace

Will this ever be me?

I stood alone

Alone in a castle

And alone I liked to be

Many kinds of loneliness.
"I stood alone
Alone in a castle
And alone I liked to be "
Sometime we need private times and moments. I liked the ending. Thank you Kathryn for sharing the excellent poetry.
