Seduction Of SummerA Story by Kathryn SmithI made a deal with the stars to keep holding I'd give in I'd give in to you It is finally here! What I live for. What I yearn for. What brings me to life. What keeps me sane in the winters. It is the glory of summer. I live in the sweltering heat. It covers me like a warm blanket and swallows me whole. I'd rather sweat than freeze. I'd rather burn than shiver from the numb of cold. I get drunk off the sweet scents of morning. I get lost at dusk hearing the crickets sing. The clouds change from cotton white to glowing pinks and purples. Soon the cool breezy sky will be gifted with stars to wish on. My favorite image at night is the windows of homes. The light of lamps give life to the dark. There's nothing quite like being barefoot in the driveway, looking at the moon. While the bottoms of my feet are loving the cool and rocky earth, the still and sleeping world is mine. Sneaking out on the roof to make wishes will happen very soon. Then the fairyland of fireflies will take action. The dragonflies already had their ruling. They own the flawless blue skies in the day. In the sun, ice cream and popsicles melt in our hands. Water is heaven to our thirsting, hot skin. The skin I have turns to gold. It is kissed by the sun. My hair goes from brown to blonde. More freckles are born. Fresh cut grass mixed in with the smell of sprinklers is the best drug to me. Dresses can be worn again. The chains of the layers of clothes disintegrate. We have the chance to finally wear barely anything at all. This all put together is a seduction that I can't resist. Summer is the best time of the year. There is magic to it. There is magic to everything. Nothing looks quite the same. I was living in the heat of the moment © 2015 Kathryn SmithReviews
