Scarlett Letter

Scarlett Letter

A Poem by Eve
"

My one true weakness

"

Scarlet Letter

Deep within the warmth
Of languid, white saponaceous
Waters lie the siren songs of her
Richmondena cardinalis

Origins of a penchant of pen
The secret fifth column of her
Refined recourse to a supine
Journey’s end of a scarlet letter

An honest fetter of visions swirl
As a final destination ends and
To my message of youth sends
Our beginning trends of
Death and rebirth

In whose dark womb of wisdom
Embodies the only release found
Welcomed by cornet horn and
These lips of shared scorn may
They find an achromatic haven
Worth having, in a season’s
Coming, as commendable as
their endless flight in
search of this divine
elusive love.

I was taken aback on this one. It has been so long since I have read a poem written with such eloquence.

Thank you for sharing
