LiesA Poem by ParinitaI wrote this poem a while back, thanks to a boy who broke my heart. Thank you for inspiring me to write again.
Teary eyes, quivering lips,
His hands were on another girl's hips. Gulped her sorrow, faked a smile, "I don't like him anyway", she lied. Their eyes met, she ran away, He chased her, asked her to stay. She'd never imagined she could be his girl, But his words made her heart twirl. Six months gone, she loved him so, What did she know, he was putting on a show. Sensing something wrong, she followed his car, Back to where it all began, she entered the bar. Teary eyes, quivering lips, His hands were on another girl's hips. Gulped her sorrow, faked a smile, "I don't love him anymore", she lied. Their eyes met, she ran away, He chased her, but his love was too late. © 2016 ParinitaAuthor's Note
