Pouring Rain

A murder.

She peered through the window. Watched the rain's soft pitter-patter against the window pane. Watched the sun disappear behind a cloudy sky. 

A pale sky. 

A sad sky. 

A sky that mirrored herself. A reflection of her emotions.

She dropped her gaze to the body laying at her feet. Lifeless.

The saddest sight she has ever seen. 

Opening the window, she let the rain's cool touch free her. The sky was crying, but no amount of tears could erase the sin committed here.
