elated mistake

Looking in this mirror all I can say is ‘wow’. 
Look how much I’ve changed, isn’t this some amazing s**t now? Amazing right? It should be.
Then why do I feel like some pathetic s**t now? Then and now what’s different?
My hair, my clothes? The way I joke around!? Oh wait, there! That’s what’s different, I see. There’s a twinkle in my eye. Its been so long, my pulse picks up. 
I’m elated, my cheeks are flushed. 
Oh wait, s**t no. I’m mistaken, that’s just the dying flame I mistook for a spark
