It's Fun To Watch Shadows Drown.

It's Fun To Watch Shadows Drown.

A Poem by L0v3craft
"

Surreal poetry...again :]]

"

A conspiracy of crows drinks from tangerine-bloated streams

Beyond the gulf of weather-beaten dreams.

Shadows trip upside down;

In the floating gulf of phantom eyes, I watch them drown.

Preparing to breathe down a spider-neck’s boney back thighs,

My clever lil’ lungs pollinated air with subtitled sighs.

I resurrect the shadows from within

Only because I wanted to watch them drown again.

Love the imagery you use in this poem. Rhythm feels a little off, but in a great way. Like the offbeats are a distortion, making the poem's darker picture look even more twisted. I need to read more of your work.

You write with a great imagination which is the stock and trade of all good poets. I never would have though of anything like this. Shadows tripping upside down~wow. I thoroughly enjoyed this and want to read more from you. Great poem.

This is a curious piece, but I like it. Still, it left me wanting more; I can't really pinpoint where this "more" would work, but that's all I can think of.
