PagesA Poem by Jinx RosenrotThoughts that flowed from my head, through my fingertips, and onto the pages. So sad, where we are. Like a broken mirror, filled with regret and reflections we just want to look away from. A soothing touch... Damn it, that's all I've ever wanted from you! All the electric scars you leave in my flesh every time you touch me... I long for the words I used to hear from you, the ones that every girl wants to hear: You're amazing You're spectacular You're beautiful And occasionally, at just the right time.... I love you
But something tells me that I'm reaching for the past. You can't grasp a shadow, can't hold it. So I live somewhere far from reality.... a memory, a fantasy in my head... In my heart.
I pray, every time I think of you, that our future could be written in our past.... And we could write our own story As God lays out to us these blank pages for us to fill I can see that you won't pick up the pen... Not anytime soon... So I'll stare at the future, blank, mysterious, unimaginable. Like these pages. © 2012 Jinx RosenrotAuthor's Note
