People

People see, people forget
Think of things they don't get
Have lost thoughts in their noisy mind
Can't hear the silence
The sound gets blind
Putting up a mask
An nobody wants to ask
'Why are you closing
Up your heart ...?'
They think you learned
The things you didn't figure out
But they are only shutting your mouth
Not allowed to speak
Not allowed to think
The thoughts they disappear
The smile gets a fear
'What now ?' You think
Not fitting in
Breaking out the prisoning
Being a misfit
Perfectly fits.

I really like this poem, especially the end where you discribe breaking from tradition as "fitting in". I don't know if I understand all of it, but that is the fun of poetry. Trying to understand what people mean when they write, that is fun. Thanks for a great poem!
