Stairway

I wrote this after thumbing through and M.C. Escher book. Another one I just found from back in high school.

White marble stairs
leading to the sky
leading to a door

Twin dragon dance
on it's wooden surface

A windowless room
through the entryway lies

Harsh and red
firelight flickers

An old armchair
in front of it sits

On it
a cube of silver
reflects
