The Escaping Dream

The Escaping Dream

A Poem by Chrys_Pap

Friends and foes have acquired a blurring definition
for they intersect,
making the escape dream
that kept me once banished from the arms of Morpheus
to cavort around me anew.
And the long forgotten one way ticket
still waits to be seized by the bold ones
who should be wise enough to have learned a lesson
from the disobedience of Lot's wife.
But against all the odds,
at the end of the day I keep on hanging around
with the two M's and I.

Thank you very very much :)
This is a poem I wrote when I was under so much pressure from people i love. When I feel stressed I always remember a dream I had once, to escape from everything.Just to lie on a beach with no human sight around me.That is the dream I'm talking about.
The one way ticket stands for never coming back while the disobedience of Lot's wife is from a Biblical story in which Lot and his wife were ordered by God to leave their town and never turn their faces to look back. But his wife couldn't stand the tempetation. She disobeyed turning her face back and she transformed into salt.
Finally the two M's stand for ME and MYSELF.
Thanks for reading!
