Chapter 4

Edward POV

Kissing Bella without fear was still weird.. Though we'd been together as vampires for four years. Her tounge touched my lower lip and I moaned softly, kissing her more fiercely. She was the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen. She was perfect and she was mine. I smiled under her lips.
"Bella, love." I murmured. She kissed me and sighed.
"Yes?"
"Nessie's back" I said laughing. She would have blushed, I knew her well enough for that. I felt her mind open.
*I love you..* she thought
"I know." I whispered smiling. She..dazzled..me. "You're my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow." I confessed.
She thought I made her feel the prize rather than the winner. I smiled, lifting her up and leading her to Nessie. I held her waist and lead her to where Nessie, Jasper and Alice were.
"Mom!" Nessie called. She hugged Bella and Bella kissed her cheek. "I missed you so much!"
"Me too sweetheart." she said smiling and hugging her back. She looked at Jacob.
"Thank you ,Jake.. For everything." she said smiling warmly at him.
*Am I allowed to hug her, bloodsucker? Or are you still jealous?* he joked.
I laughed and nodded.
"You're practically my son-in-law now, Jacob. How can I be jealous?" I laughed and winked. He joined my laughter and Nessie blushed. He hugged Bella, keeping one hand on Nessie's waist. He kissed her cheek. Bella turned to Jasper and Alice.
"Thank you both too" she said smiling. Jasper smiled back and Alice hugged her tightly.
"I knew you were comming." she said grinning a tiny smile.
*Edward!*
My head snapped to her.
She was having a vision. Alex was alone with someone, probably Nessie. Alice still couldn't see her well, but she now could see the others around her. I growled as I saw what she saw.

Alex, looking intently at Nessie, smelling her scent, his teeth ready to bite.

I hissed. They were at the beach, the Quileute beach. We couldn't protect her there! The treaty line! Sam would be furious and we'd have to run away.. Bella would be so dissapointed to leave Charlie with no explination.. My eyes were now filled with worry. Alice made a face.

*Keep it away from them. It seemed blury. I'm not sure if it's because the desicion has not been fully taken, or if it is because of Nessie. Either way, you don't need to worry her.. Or Bella.*

I frowned again, but this time, nodded once and kept my face straight.

*Edward?*

I looked at her.

*Please don't tell Jasper about.. this other thing..*

She showed me a new vision. She was wearing a dark cloak. Jane and Alec at each of her side. She still had golden eyes though, and that was a good thing.

I gasped.

*It will, apparently, be the only way to save her.. I want the best for you.. I love you too much..And Jasper would worry and do something we both know he'd regret.. Please Edward.*

I nodded weakly. Bella seemed to catch that.

"Did I miss something?" she said raising one eyebrow.

"Nothing," I lied smoothly, with a smile. "Alice was telling me about how she still finds werewolfs stinky. I laughed with as much enthusiasm as I could. She laughed with me and Alice winced.

*Nice save* Alice.

*You creepy bloodsucker..* Jacob thought about Alice. *You stink worse than I do!*

*You WILL tell me what's wrong, Edward* Bella thought worried.

*Alice seems mad.. I wonder what's-* Nessie worried

I sighed and smiled.

I knew I had to enjoy the rest of my damned life now...
