ORIONA Poem by Ang BoyceWhen I worked late into the night the constellations were friends to me and I could tell them of my innermost desires.ORION
The night I sat upon the highest hill and felt my soul, I thought of you. I thought of love just passing through. I gazed upon the city below, And how it buzzed from head to toe, Then I thought of you.
I looked in to the darkest sky with the huntsman's gaze upon me, I thought of you. Orion's constellation glow, To the end of earth would slowly go, To make his way back tomorrow, And to my soul I felt a pang of which I can only tell is sorrow. Then I thought of you.
My protector and provider be, Of things I love but never see, I thought of you. And on that hill where time stood still, Orion did promise a me a soul to fill. Then I thought of you.
I gazed at the jewels upon his belt, as they shone radiant in their order, I thought of you. I wished upon a shooting fellow which passed him by so swiftly, I made a wish and to my soul did wish it very deeply. Then I thought of you.
Then I thought of you just passing through, A huntsman for my Isis I thought the wish and had it to, That may you never meet a crisis. May love possess your beautiful mind and guide you to only what is good. May
Orion provide you always, With the necessary food. © 2013 Ang BoyceAuthor's Note
