What We Once Were Episode 1 Scene 3

The epic struggle begins when Kai and his friends, Josh, Kelly, Amy, Tori, Kate and Leon set out camping at the end of the school year. But this is the beginnin of something new. Something unnatural.

Scene Location -  Port Haven Shopping Centre 

Port Haven Shopping Centre was a oddly shaped building, almost like a swastika from the sky, bur with many other shops sticking out. The Grocery Shop was the largest shop and dominated most of the shopping centre, but the shopping centre also had a few clothing store, a cheaper then cheap store, a large shop, a pair of cafes and ice cream shops, a electronics and furniture store and a music shop, dominated the shop, while there were other smaller shops within the centre. Outside the shop as a separate districted is a food yard, a small park sits in the middle with the shops to one side while various food chain networks surround the park. This includes McDonalds, Chicken Treat and Subway

(The group has split into two groups Kai, Kelly, Tori and Josh walk in the grocery store getting food while the others, Amy, Kate and Leon are in the Maccas getting the group food. Kai and tori pick the food while Kelly and Josh sit at the back taking turns pushing the trolley. Tori grabs a large amount of C the energy drink)

 

Kelly: Do you really think we need that much?

 

Tori: (she thinks for a while after stopping dead, Finally she speaks) Yup.

 

(that was all there was no decision no nothing, they walk to the shop check out)

 

Kelly: (running up to the front where Tori and Kai stood) Oh Tori we had to go do that thing (she winks at her) Remember?

 

Tori: (Finally catching on) Oh yeah! Right

 

(they run off out of the store. Kai and Josh stand there stunned for a moments time then they look at each other. While the girls run off Kelly looks back and waves)

 

Kelly: (yelling out as she leaves) Bye Boys!

 

(Kai stands there for a bit and realises the cashier has finished with their shopping) 

 

Cashier: And how will you be paying for this sir?

 

(Kai hits his head with the palm of his hand)

 

Kai: (Under his breath) Stupid girls

 

(Josh and Kai reach the end of the check out, the cashier looks at them)

 

Cashier: That will be $152.95 please

 

(kai looks at Josh, he shakes his head)

 

Josh: I already bought most of it, and besides my dad is driving us

 

Voice Of Kai

Kai: Typical Josh always seems to do this to me, infact half the group does, the just expect it so if i dont offer then i feel terrible.

 

Kai: (to the cashier) No cash out thanks (he swipes his card and enters his pin)

 

Cashier: thank you have a nice day

 

Kai: you too, (to Josh) where are we meeting everone else?

 

Josh: Maccas

 

Kai: Sweet lets head that way now

 

(in a dark corner in the shopping centre is a man, he wears a long leather jacket which is black, the man wears sun glasses so you can not see his eyes. He watches them walk out)

 

Kai and Josh meet everyone else at Mcdonalds. The Group had waited outside and sat around a table, there chat was basic and normal for them

 

Kelly: NO! Spider man would so beat Bat Man!

 

Kate: No WAY! Bat Man kicks a*s!

 

Kelly: Spider Man has powers!

 

Kate: Bat Man has gadgets!

 

Voice Of Kai

Kai: why is it that we are always fighting?

 

Kelly: KAI!

 

(Kelly runs up and hugs Kai and josh)

 

Josh: Ok lets eat im starving, then we start driving, so whose paying? (he turns to kai)

 

(kai smiles fakely)

 

Voice Of Kai

Kai: They must think im a piggy bank
