Trusting.

Trusting.

A Poem by Airila

You think you really know a person
Then everything turns to crud
You think you really trust someone
Then realize their true nature
Then you ask yourself
"Was our friendship really true
Or was he using me for his purposes?"
I love my friends
The few that I have
But sometimes I suspect even them
What's your ulterior motive
How can I be sure you're truly my friend
Would you risk your life to save me?
Would you tell me the truth even if it hurts me
Would you do anything to protect me as I do you?
Are you really my friend?
Do you love me like the sister you call me
Can I tell you my innermost thoughts and know they're kept safe
Can I tell you I love you and you pick up I mean it instantly

Can I really trust you?
