So Peaceful She Sleeps

So Peaceful She Sleeps

A Poem by Airila
"

This is dedicated to my grandma who died last week at 70 of metabolic bladder cancer that spread to her brain

"
Like a serene angel
A pristine being of heaven
So peaceful she sleeps

When she took her last breath
From the day she took her first
So peaceful she sleeps

A rose grown in concrete
With thorns prick all over
So peaceful she sleeps

I loved her with every love doth give
Longer would I wish she’d live
But now, so peaceful she sleeps

No pain she feels
No suffering do torture
So peaceful she sleeps

So peaceful she sleeps
Like a rare gem
Another angel has I
So peaceful her final sleep; do sleep in peace on high
