Erratic

Erratic

A Poem by PandaPeaceful

Heart beating,

fast breathing,

mind wavering,

I reach for my feelings.

I’m nervous,

anxious,

scared.

Music exhales into me.

I am wind.

Following

each

melody with my

fingers.

Pretending to be a ballerina.

Pretending to be anyone but

me.

Exhilaration enters

me.

A type of adrenaline which peaks

at the surface.

Shivers run down my

arms,

slithering

towards a newfound need.

A new found

desire.

I am everything

suddenly.

I am the sound

that streams down

rivers.

I am the stars

floating in space.

I am a wish,

wanting

to be wished upon.

But I am

nothing.

Suddenly

I am

nothing.

Emptiness

explodes.

I am

skin,

bones,

blood.

A deconstructed

everything.

Light a candle

Give me light

Give me warmth

Give me your

soul

This is a great description of being a rapid-cycler (bipolar, which I am). What makes your description so lyrical & spellbinding is becuz you are not conveying any judgement about these various states of mind . . . . not making it seem like a good thing or a bad thing. Each description just IS what it IS! I love that. Sometimes it's good to read a poem about acceptance, disguised as a roller-coaster ride of emotions or feelings or moods (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I simply love your reviews. Sometimes nothing is needed but a firm statement. A re-telling of sorts... read more
This was as it says on the tin, eratic in the emotions the protagonist feels. Another free flowing free verse that simply cascades off the page in a deluge of well placed words and phrases.
