Pipe Dreams

Pipe Dreams

A Poem by PandaPeaceful

Your voice urges my
skin to breathe-
A sense of desire
remains transfixed
in your eyes.
For you manipulate
words-
And I have obeyed-
A tear burning
my devoted
gaze.
I watch you-
and I smile.
For my body
ignores my
pain.
And my heart
rejects
reality.

Bare minimalism is most beautiful when it conveys a real passion, a deep sense of feeling without the necessity of an excess of speech. Like this.
It's good, PandaPeaceful.
I can't wait to get to the next piece of your on the list.
I'm new to the site, but I hope that there are more writers like you posting their work.

I really like this one! It's so simple yet it conveys much emotion and meaning. I think it's nice when I read something that isn't overcrowded with fluff and excessive attempts to include smilies/metaphors/etc. great job :)

Thank you! I greatly appreciate it.
this portrayed the sense of satisfaction when you do something extraordinary for someone you love and they remain unappreciated. Im sure the relationship the character has with a lover becomes life or death when she is stuck between lust or real love. Real love is harder and becomes unbearable.

Thank you!
You've crafted a totally-original way of showing a familiar human weakness. You've shown us that "surrender" can also be a not-so-good thing. I love the way you use word sounds instead of rhymes. The first two lines are the kind of thing writers wish they had written (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie

Oh, and what Barley said about the first two lines... Yes. Nice turn of phrase.
Your writing style reveals originality. I love the pattern and choice of words you follow in your work, that gives a beautiful and strong touch to your writings.. :)

How kind of you Amrita! Thank you so much.
Imagination, reveries, pipe dreams... all add a special something to life, to being human, to feel love and more. Your words seem to say similar if not the same, such tender, yearning words.. sad, sad in a way and yet... promising a perhaos,, ,, ,,

They do. Sometimes dreams are an escape. But the thing is, one should never allow them to become one.. read more
