Run!

Run!

A Poem by PandaPeaceful

Wind swept up my skin,
Evolving into something much darker.
But the wind shrilled and trembled,
and yet, nothing came of it.

I was naked, shivering in loneliness.
There was nothing left in the dark,
Only pieces of unknown fragments.
The trees seemed monsters.

Monsters which were ready to feed.
-One, two, three, run!
Where are they?
-Run!

They're coming, run before-
-Before what?
Their boots resounded in the air.
Complete silence embracing them

Their shots fired and the scene was left-
left blank in severe drought.
But it was much worse than that,
For I did not run, I stayed there- waiting.

And then, just then,
I saw the monsters above me.
Watching my figure,
as they entered me.

I really like dark poems, so this is an easy read and it's awesome! Amazing job in getting me stiff and ready to run too ;)

Thank you! I appreciate the review!
i love how expressive and dark this is. Is this a metaphor for a situation that's much deeper than it seems?

Precisely! Thank you for your review.
How pleasantly nerve-stiffening; like a game of hide-and-seek. I indulge in your thrills and darkness-for I live there too.
Thank you.
