It only has begun

It only has begun

A Poem by Charlie

"
Too young to open the doors
Too old to crawl on my knees
To beg with the magic word 'Please'
My mom doesn't let me wear lipstick
I'll smear it
The stove is too hot, don't let me near it
The ground swallows me whole
The ocean"s tide overrides me
I want to dominate relevancy
Buy me some minutes, seconds and hours worth of time
I want to fly, I want to try
I'm stuck in the middle
Confided in-between the two
Too old but not old enough for you
Too young to pursue but enough to blow the candles

Nice write... We all are just tweenagers here on this earth. well written. this one may make a good spoken word piece as well.

In this piece, it spoke to me of someone seeking; both relevancy and to be treated as an adult woman. To break away, from simple birthday cake candles; and from the overwhelming void between being teen and adult.

In attitude, perhaps your yearnings expressed here; suggest that you're mature enough - to embrace some aspects of mature adult life.?

being lost and at the same time exactly knowing what you want and who you want to be, yeah that is youth, something everyone can relate to.
