He

He

A Poem by Charlie

Blood of my blood
Skin of my skin
Kin of my kin
The only difference is what's buried within
My character blossoms and flourishes without your rays of vitamin D
My garden of opinions aren't corrupted, by your spewing weeds
You can't pour a droplet of water in my cup and expect me to be full
You can't run half a mile and win a marathon
Though I wear your face every day
And genetically tied down to you
I am not you
I am not you
I am not you
I declare, denounce and pray
I will not lay in your bed of bane
Inhabit in your shadow is what I will not do
While you wallow, I will rejoice
And while I explore opportunities doors, you will be left with no choice
I'm leaving this right here
I am not you, I repeat
I am not you

About
I'm 16 and a girl, ironic since I have a boy name. I'm a poet and I play an acoustic from time to time. I really like grunge, punk rock music but I enjoy other genres. I sing as well, probably my bigg.. more..
