Wind

Wind

A Poem by Silvanus Silvertung

Will the whistling winding wind

know that all of us have sinned

blow the gale of glorious glass

into horrors, arcane, long past

Since sin is silent we need not fear

winds wise justice nor maidens tear

it's awful nice to know you sir

but really must you all say birr?

I know the ice queen shall shalom

but will she know that I am home?

will she suspect my silken sin

that ice cold mistress of the wind

Fiery fingers, aren't you wise?

to set the entire place ablaze

to keep the cold from running in

that will keep that whiley wind

Watery whispers of the world

she's the silken silent girl

to tread so softly on his shoes

if she's gone shipwise it is news

No, no wise gust, I kid you not

The lady really is quite hot

to shake the earth as she has done

that would take out watery fun

For where the world a thing like that

the wind would not take my hat

and glorious gusts would not begin

the ladies would not know my sin.
