Hope

Now I'm getting into some of the messier categories. Hope was my best friend, but now I don't even know what we are. I met her at my summer camp a few years ago, and we became best friends. Unfortunately her mom decided that she hated me and said we couldn't be friends. However we stayed friends in secret. There was another person who didn't like out relationship though, but I'll save her for another chapter. Hope had really low self esteem because of the way her mom had total control over her life and the girl who her mom made be friends with her, constantly bosses her around. I wanted to let Hope be whoever she wants to be around me. And she loved me for that. That is, until she got a boyfriend. See, she has a long distance boyfriend now. She's never even met him. And she's been avoiding me because I told her that I think that's a bad idea. Years ago she told me that she was going to go whatever college I'm going to, as long as I promised to never leave her behind. I made a promise that I never broke, and now I found out that she would rather go to college with her boyfriend she had known for one month. So I've been avoiding her too.
