Razors Edge

Razors Edge

A Poem by mysticgmekeepr

I have felt
the razors edge of love;
the one that cuts so deep
you have to cauterize the wound
with flame...
It is always the sharpest side
of love
that bleeds with another's pain
and wishes if only
I could dance them through the rain.

Love has a lot of sides, it isn't good to be always bleeding, but the deeper ones lets themselves dive into love, the more we will weep for "the others" pain. We can do something about our own, but we can't alleviate another's, their process, their healing, their growth. And we just stand by helplessly and watch

The depth and insightfulness in this poem amazes me...love can cut so deep...your final lines are beautiful and create a lasting image for me,
"and wishes if only
I could dance them through the rain."

i left a woman i loved after eighteen years, because i knew, i just knew there was more...that was a razor edge...and, i already had some practice in throwing myself away
