Tangled In The Stars

Tangled In The Stars

A Poem by mysticgmekeepr

We can trade anchor
for wings,
step out of the boots in the
mud flats of fear
    To fly.
Its far past time,
    It is you know.

We can walk away from the sucker of peace
and satisfaction
that lays low our limbs
to the ground
and pins our soul to the mat
     Like a defeated opponent,
     regularly through the years,
forcing us to remember
the painful and the hidden
never letting us move too far beyond
our original wounds;
No matter how apparent the polish,
the tarnish is just beneath.

But we can trade anchor
for wings,
Its far past time,
   It is you know

For we are undefeatable
by some mystery of Grace,
because our strength
is tangled in the stars
and we’re still
dreaming.
