View From The Dark Side of The Moon

View From The Dark Side of The Moon

A Poem by mysticgmekeepr

I see the moon too,
but I see it tonight
from the side that is dark.
Where there is just black moss
and old ebony bark
and my foot is stuck
in mud flats and slime
and the beauty of the stars
has to be recalled

from another time.

What a bleak opening - certainly hits the mark, MGK.

Pam this is so stunning it gave me goose pimples, why is it that the darker side of life always inspires more that the lighter side? Is it because of the intensity of the longing? Whatever it is and whatever you say, such beauty of expression is worth all the pain. I for one, would not live without it, contentment dulls the mind.

What an excellent reminder that "all that glitters is not gold."

I like this. Not everything is all sparkly and magical. Sometimes there are those moments of darkness that we all go through. Well done.
