for a friend who just lost her husband suddenly and unexpectedly. They had a lovely garden, and worked together in it all the time. They were just beginning to celebrate their retirement, their remodeled home and spring.
Have you ever
planted bleeding hearts in April’s soil,
only to water them with the blood red drops
of your own anguished weeping ?
Loss and pain so overwhelming
as to overshadow spring.....
Weeping and bleeding
before the flower had a chance to bloom.
such beauty here. I like the form of the work and it is well done. I like this piece a lot and it says much in few words to get the point across of the poets voice and heart
yes, i have, many times before i found my muse. painful, sinful times back then. time, i guess always has its ways of shaping each and every person into who they're destined to be. great poem, i love it. i have become a great fan of your writing. flows like the very river that i live a couple of blocks away from. smooth, smooth as the waterfall on a warm summer's day. great, great poem. :D
beautiful if my heart wasn't so tatter and torn ,
i would take this and run with it oh what the heck,
raining again or is it just my tears falling,
April showers will they bring may flowers,
and a love i desire so tire of a heart forever bleeding,
i want a love thats for the keeping,
a love that wont start off lieing,
my heart,my heart,
bleeding heart is crying ,lonely tear drops,
rolling down my face lost in time and space,
why did my love end this way,
bleeding heart in April,
doing a time of renewal,
i don't remember planting that seed,
perhaps the winds blew it my way,
bleeding heart in April,
can't wait to see the flower,
will it be the saddest looking flower,
in my garden this year,
weeping tears that flow red ,
have u ever seen a crying rose,
bloom in the may day sun,
the pebbles on a rose are shaped like a heart,
and when it drys up let go of the seeds,
only to bloom again next year,
still i will tender the weeping rose,
with nothing but love, lots of love
call it what you like, but for love i am a fool
but have you,you
Have you ever
planted bleeding hearts in April's soil,
only to water them with the blood red drops
of your own anguished weeping ?
Loss and pain so overwhelming
as to overshadow spring.....
Weeping and bleeding
before the flower had a chance to bloom.
my love i loved her she took and ran away
ran with the first ran that came.peace wizthom

This is beautiful. I loved that you wrote this for a friend who is hurting. It is a beautiful poem. Great work!
I love the darkness in this poem. dramatic but still beautiful. I love the concept of this poem however i sighed when i realized how short it really was. I wanted more but anyway it was a very good poem.
I am a woman and a child, an adolescent in an older persons shell, an ancient in a child's disguise, a mystery and a metaphor, opposites and contradictions, swirling waters and peace. more..
