Unawares

A Poem by mysticgmekeepr

I watched you
while you slept.
Your fluttering eyes
dancing in rhythm
 to the TV light.
Lids draped over
your secrets...
but not so tightly
in the blinking light, that
told me in the space between
where you wandered in the night...

...your soft breathing,
absent sound,
brushed against my face
 with your history

catching me
unawares,
 leaving me breathless.
