9/11 Unborn Child

9/11 Unborn Child

A Poem by 1VJ

"
A mother whispers to her unborn child,
knowing in the midst of this disaster
he'll never get to grieve his dear father
or come to realize his utter selflessness
as one of the brave who fought for lives,
whilst he boldly battled a towering inferno
to help preserve our rights of freedom & honor

Right from the title to the last word, this is such a moving description of 9/11 that shook our world. I would specially like to mention the artwork you attached. Speaks volumes. Thank you for the fact that you chose this subject and put forth your perspective in the form of such a touching poetry!

Thanks again KL.
I like the originality of this piece. all those who wrote about 9/11 described the people who witnessed the catastrophe. this is a first and it's not less poignant. good one Paloma. great choice of picture, too.

I'm so glad you thought so Woody, will be by to see you again very soon.
Wow, no mistaking what this is about, but what an incredibly original & emotive take on a most tragic series of events & which also provides a graphic insight into some of the less obvious aspects of the ongoing aftermath.....Very powerful stuff indeed. N

9-11 changed our world. I tell people. Never allow fear to create separation. If we do. We allowed terror to win.
