Even tho I don't agree with the premise that Jesus isn't doing everything for His own sometimes inexplicable reasons, the title of your poem is so well-stated & original, I truly love it. I'm sure it may seem to many people that Jesus should be doing things differently & the way you worded your title, it's more like poking fun at Jesus, rather than being angry or critical of Him. Your message, on the other hand, really does come across as starkly critical & harshly descriptive of what we can all agree is totally unacceptable, what's going on in our world. Overall, this is one of the best statements I've read to express the pain we all feel as we watch what's unfolding, without sounding a bit like the other million critics who express predictable responses.

I'm pretty sure Jesus has a sense of humor, he won't mind. :) Thanks so much for your kind words.
The wars inside....the wars outside...makes no difference where they began.....we hold out our lives but fear they'll never end! It seems the sacrifices are too great especially when they are the purest of heart.

Pureness of heart and war, they don't seem to agree. Thanks for your thoughts Queenie.

dear poet, it is difficult to be cheerful when
innocent children and wonderful people are
wounded and killed because of ill will.
Clouds of sadness fill our days and nights. Amen
This poem need to be read by many. The poor, children and the old people pay for the sins of war. Homeless, dead cities and unknown dead. Time for the good people to stand-up for peace before it is too late. Thank you Paloma for sharing the powerful and needed poetry.

I know. Historians say. Least war in the history of men. This is sad.
Another speck of carbon, this one.
Sentient and sagacious, yet affable.
Advocate of Fantasy and Gaming, this one.
Artistic and pugnacious, yet subtle. more..
