very true.... except... there is always an "except", just like there are 4 walls to a box... except when you have never accepted self imposed parameters to begin with... in other words look at the world without prejudice and preconceived notions and be not afraid of where the truth takes you... in which case no box can hold you... of course you will also pay a price for such open mindedness especially in today's world... sad to sad....
but since I am a trickster at times, I always carry my trusty sledge hammer to knock down walls yep, even cardboard ones... ;0) another enjoyable poem Paloma...

I had to click on this one with the irresistible title. There are too many boxes in life, and none of them are the ideal, even though they masquerade themselves as such. We try to break out, but we wish to fit in. Such is the nature of the human condition, all wrapped up in a box.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the title. Tis true, I usually corner my own self, but learning as I go...

It all starts with a single thought planting its seed..all of a sudden we are found in the middle of our own habit. What it takes to change that? Strong will and perseverance.
I liked it :D
We all have parameters in life. Some are self imposed while others are imposed upon us by society. They do give us a sense of equilibrium. So thought provoking, Paloma. Lydi**

I think the self-imposed ones are most damaging, thanks for your insight and thoughtful review.
Cleaver and wittily written and if not to sound (pun-ish) outside the box thinking topic, this was a delight to read. Thank you for posting and allowing us the pleasure of reading your work.
I think being in a box sometimes brings calmness, but it doesn't mean always shutting off others.
Thank you for your write, it was a good one.
