Mind and Spirit

A poem about Kendo (Japanese fencing) and a realization I made not long ago in my practice.

Mind

A simple apparatus that places an ego

An ego of fear, desire, hate, and despair

Thus the ego overwhelms the soul

To take away what hope is left

Sprit

The sword of the heavens

Fearless with courage

It has the power to shake the soul

 

The mind and spirit are not of one

Though they wish to be one

Conquer the ego

Conquer the soul

 

Then your true potential awakens to the sword….

Endless boundaries

Endless potential

Endless Spirit and Mind
