Painful nightmare

You’re walking through thick fog,
Trying to find what you once lost,
Creatures are reaching out to you,
Crying for your help,
But, you just turn your head and keep walking through,
Until you’re stopped by what you think is true,
It drags you to a dark hole,
And sings you a lullaby,
About death, love and unspeakable truths,
You don’t believe the horrors it speaks of,
Then you start to cry and quietly die inside,
You try to run away,
But this monster has got you tied,
Finally you realize your greatest nightmares have come true,
And there’s nothing you can do.
