The Box

The Box

A Poem by Paige

Little white box

Plain and boring and never-changing

Just the way it breathes

It makes me mad

It makes me so mad

I can hardly stand it

I need to get out

But I'm stuck

And I scream for help

But the little white box

It closes my mouth

And my eyes

And suddenly I can't breathe

I can't breathe

And I don't know why

I just know that I'm stuck

And I need to get out

But I can't because I'm stuck

And I can't scream because

I can't breathe

But I don't know why

And I keep running around

In circles in the little white box

And the circles make me mad

And the way the box breathes make me mad

The box is so unreasonable

But I don't know about what, this time

My hands are tied

And my feet can only make me go around, around,

Around.

And it makes me mad.

I just want to scream

But I can't

Because I'm running around in circles

And I can't breathe

But I don't know why

And I don't know what the box

Is being so unreasonable about

I just know that the box is

Being unreasonable

And it makes me so mad

I just need to get out

But I can't because

My hands are tied

And my feet won't let me

They just make me go

Around, around

Around.

Author's Note

Paige
This was a result of that weird feeling I got, you know, the one where you don't feel anything and it makes you feel like your feeling everything, and then that makes you frustrated? Yeah. That one. But tell me how you like it!:)

About
I love to write, take photographs, and I listen to music as much as I can. I'm very political and there's a lot to know about me. Or, maybe not. I'm emotional and very complicated, but I'm easy to get.. more..

Writing
Hopeless. Hopeless.
