Snowflake

Snowflake

A Poem by Sara

Unique and Gentle
Cold yet Beautiful
Blending in but Standing Out
Falling Lightly to the Ground
Never Makes a Sound
Softly Whimpers
No other in Sight
Abandoned on a whim
With the Cruel Sun
Beating Down
Melting its pure Heart
Burning from the Inside Out

What a lilting, drifting song filled with magic and metaphors... There is a wondrous balance of the strength, beauty, and frailty of life shaped in crystal ridges...
