Darkest Devotion

Darkest Devotion

A Poem by Brittany

If in all time, it would reveal.
A tender love,  would soon congeal.
The art of which, love is born.
Dost her heart make, dark and forlorn?
Subjugated by those, of a different light.
A demon fights for power, from all a plight.
Denoted by his scorn, she begs for one more kiss.
But shall it ever be, or just something more amiss.
She ponders over his beauty, he basks in so gentle.
She breaks her horns, turns into her own dental.
Her skin she scrubs, in a violent manner.
To consult the best, heaven planner.
A marriage so cold, and yet so warm.
Like the sea before, a godless storm.
One by one, she fades away.
Her dying breath, begging him to stay.
Desolate and dead, she lays in state.
Yet he is away, filling his party plate.
Love is deadly like, a witch's potion.
But in it she found, his darkest devotion.

About
I am a survivor of many tragedies in my life. Not many can say they are as strong as I am emotionally or mentally. Spiritually, I am still getting there. However, writing has always been a tool for me.. more..
