The Waterfall

The Waterfall

A Poem by PadfootBlack

Liquid thunder

smashes down on

weary stones

Smooth

from eons of abuse

she rains her

watery fists upon

weathered Earth

weight like boulders

crushing all

beneath her

The power of Niagara Falls is amazing... I have been blessed enough to to experience standing beneath the pounding water. It is a sensation... like no other.

Well, dear heart, here you are writing about something that not everyone is good at writing about. Nature. You have done an excellent job and don't ever think otherwise. I have enjoyed looking at all of your writing and am glad to say I wish I could write this well. Hopefully one day I can and be a good author one day as well. Keep this up. :-)

Truly.
Sarah.

great little piece
and you really capture the power and intensity of the falls.
the pics a nice touch.
your abrupt, limited style for the work fuels the mystery of the work. many come across as broken or stilted when they attempt this style, but I think you pulled it off.
very well done.

Hello Padfootblack,

I randomly picked one of your writings, and I of course seemed to have choose a short but sweet one. I also noticed one I have read a few times, and have enjoyed.

But I really enjoyed this poem especially with the picture next to it. I am quite jealous of you really, you live in a State I enjoy visiting, and all I have here is the arch. Well written, and excellent.

Regards,

Matthew
