Your love is an ocean

Swallowing me whole

I take in a deep breath

Inhaling your infinite grace

You've healed my broken soul

Mended my torn seams

Made me whole again

In you

I was dirty

But you cleansed me

Your price was high

Your pain was great

But you paid for me eagerly

gladly

for me

You did it for me.

You are a loving father

A tender mother

An ever-faithful lover

My eternally dependable friend

Best friend.

How is it

You can love someone

Like me

The way you do?

But you do

And You amaze me

My God, You amaze me.

Your scars are beautiful to me

Marks of everlasting Love

I crave Your sweet embrace

The warmth of Your arms

Wrapped around me like a protective fortress

I am safe in Your hands

With You

I walk and never tire

With You

My stride shall never falter

You have never

Will never

Let go of my hand

My gracious companion

I cannot even imagine

the love that You have

For me

For the world

For every single child of the Earth

For You do not love

But You are love.

When I smile...

So do You.

When I laugh...

I hear Yours in my ear

And when I cry...

You are beside me

Kissing away the tears

You have never

Will never

Do anything to hurt me

So I put my life in Your hands

Oh worthy Love of mine

For whom shall I fear when You are my protector?

From who shall I hide, when you hold my hand?

They may steal my body

But it doesn't matter

My life

My soul

Is with you.

And though sometimes

I may feel abandoned

Forgotten

Alone

I know it not so

Because You, my God

Are always

By my side

Offering comfort to my weeping heart

Healing to my torn and beaten soul

You

Are the best thing that

ever

happened to me,

for by your stripes I was healed

By your blood...

I am free.

This is simply outstanding. I can't even put it into words at the majesty you described in these words. If I was ever to pick a piece of writing to describe the great love and beauty of His holiness, I would pick this one. I am almost speechless and I can't describe the feeling of pride that I felt for my Father. This is going into my favorites. This was purely amazing. Magnificent work.

this is wonderful!! just packed with great strong images, flowing so well, just an effortless read with a poignant feel but hopeful at the same time!! great poem!!!

i am going to say a MASSIVE, AMEN to that one!!! this poem is so ture, and beautiful! I was litterally having this conversation with someone today, how AMAZING God is!! How He is always there and you have captured God beautifully!!
