Nighttime Epiphany

Nighttime Epiphany

A Poem by PadfootBlack

You held me like
a package marked
"FRAGILE: handle with care"
touched me so lightly
as if I were a
stained-glass window
and you feared
I would
shatter
into
jagged
pieces
but you
kissed me
with enough passion
to convince me that
I would be safe
beneath your lips
for a thousand lifetimes
and in that moment
I knew
I'd been
forgiven.
