Poison Is Fun If Used Right

Poison Is Fun If Used Right

A Poem by Tilian Darko

What's your poison?" Death asks me. "Whatever can mess me up, whatever can make me numb." I say to death. "Give me some examples child" Death asks Intrigued. "Self-mutilation, smoking cigarettes, popping pills, smoking pot, overdosing on what I can, sex, drinking, eating too much, not eating at all." I say to Death out of breath. "Why poison yourself to death, why die faster?" Death asks me. "Using poison Is all I know now, poison helps me blacken what heart I have left, it's...all I need to know." I say to death. "Give me one good reason why I should take your life now?" Death asks me. "As I said before poison Is all I know, poison helps me cope with all the s**t going on, poison keeps me going, poison helps me forget about who hurt me. The world is a s****y place, the people are s****y and I am tired of life." I say to death. "Very well, you are next in line. You will be better when I take care of you." Death says to me. "Thank you, Death. You've made me happy about the end." I say to him as I smile with true happiness. As my soul aches with the blackened heart It carries it still begs me to fight the darkness; I shrug. Knowing I'm so broken that I've changed inside I can not go on. Poison always had my side, so why don't you?

I loved this. ❤
This is truly the epitome of so many of our lives. Tragedy is living life itself and you depicted it perfectly.
