A Chapter by Rudy Menjivar
"

A small essay criticizing this website.

"
I believe this website has potential to be a great place where people can write their stories, thoughts, beliefs, into a coherent string of words, where others can come and read them, but there are a couple of things that should be resolved. All of the users of this website want people to read what they've written, but that is next to impossible if the user isn't well known among many users or if the website continues to not be advertised as much as possible and not continue to be a part of a group of websites who can achieve greatness, but flounder in obscurity. It is difficult for users to get people to read their writing. Granted that one can advertise their writing, for a small fee, within the website itself, but it isn't enough. Another method for gaining readers, that has been established within the community, is where one reads the writing of another, and that person reciprocates the deed. It's an okay method, but earning a reader isn't enough to see whether your writing is spectacular or mediocre.
The makers and people who manage this website should advertise this website even more. I only found this website by chance. I'm sure other people did as well. It would be great for everyone if this website was as advertised and well-known as Facebook or Ebay. I love this website, but it doesn't seem like it's going anywhere. It's not advancing to better itself nor is it (thankfully) regressing with mismanagement. It's just stationary. So, I know as with all my other writing, it's going to take weeks just to get 6 views, and months just to have someone review this, but I guess that's a small price to pay for having a place to store one's valued thoughts.
*Honestly*
Honestly, I'm sure the reason that people hardly view let a lone review one's writing is because it bores people. If I read someone's writing here on this website, besides a select few who are talented enough to keep people reading, I'll stop after the first sentence. What one requires to have readers keep reading is, in my opinion, to write an exciting description. If people don't know what's going on before they read, they'll get bored of reading it. Just having a cool title doesn't cut it.

And that's my two cents on this website.
