Again and Again

Sad break up poem I wrote way back in like 2008 didn't want to loose it so I posted it here

Why you've done this I don't even know
I built it all up to watch it all go.
We fight and make up
Again and again
We'll be good, we'll be bad
And then we explode to make it all end.
We're close then we're far
We're OK then we're not
I can count the days on one hand
That we haven't faught.
We go to sleep happy
But again the next day
A destructive path that both of us lay.
The parties you go to, to chill with your friends
You cheat and I know it
But somewhere my heart bends.
You never thought of my once
When you were with her
But how can I trust you?
I know my friends all concur.
You are so blind to the way that I feel
You say get up and move on
Because that is the deal.
I let you off to easily, forgive you again and again
But you play it off, like she's a "really good friend".
If I had never come across that poem
To the best of my knowledge I would never have known.
And had my friend not been on line
To stumble across your secret
When you miss led the blind.
When all along it was right under my nose
Your true colors showing
And your true ethic shows.
But now I'm not blind, I'm wide awake
You cried me a puddle
I cried you a lake.
You say that you'll change if we start over new
But give me 10 non selfish reason
Why I should ever trust you.
You try and hug me and hold me and butter me up when you pulled us apart
Because this time my darling
I'm guarding my heart.
You had it, you broke it again and again
You like the others have carried the trend.
But not like the last time
No more chances to get
You're the bad dream
I hope to someday forget.
