Heading the wrong way

Heading the wrong way

A Poem by PP

Paradise so surreal lays beside
A thorn and shrub laden solitary walkway..
Traveler so anxious ended up heading the wrong way..
Painful affairs and horrible dreams
The heart is as bad as a block of ice
Mind's been through several viscous loots..
The traveler knows not where to rest it's foot.
Blisters it tries to hide from every passer-by
Paradise Lost and the traveler picks up
some left over baggage
Walks again - afraid of the coming
paranoid a little bit -
Traveler follows instinct
smells fragrance of that free soul
And knows that there is a paradise
On the other side of that barren land
greens behind those thorns..

There has to be a barrier between us and paradise...
it does not want us to go there and destroy its meaning...
as we already do here on Earth...
but I get your drift here...

"Traveler follows instinct

smells fragrance of that free soul

And knows that there is a paradise

On the other side of that barren land

greens behind those thorns.."

Ttotal freedom, peace, and love what the traveler will experience on the other side. A wonderfully written poem looking forward to the other side of our painful affairs. Excellent...:)....................

A beautiful and well written poem.
"On the other side of that barren land
greens behind those thorns.."
If we look hard enough. We can find beauty beyond the thorns. No weakness in the amazing poetry.

we always imagine paradise on the other side of thorns...but perhaps we can stay where we are and pick the thorns out of our heart...get rid of the baggage altogether, rather than letting it follow us around.

nicely penned piece.
