Dew Drops of Hope

Dew Drops of Hope

A Poem by PP

In the whirlpool of
Hope
and Imagination's
distant green eyes
We hallucinate
of all good things
and imbibe plenty good vibes
As it beings to mesmerize
We fantasize rich vibrant colours
And we smell some damn good flowers
We feel as if
The Sun is shining its morning glory
On petals of violets; and
Feathers of nightingales
We touch and feel...
The peace of dew drops'
that each hope brings
But what I hate to see
Is the sight of the droplet falling off its leaf..

There is a lot of action going on with this one... the usage of the senses to bring this to life... the first few lines got my attention... carries you through the body... and the end:

But what I hate to see
Is the sight of the droplet falling off its leaf...

Adds the intent... end this quite well...

Ahhh hope springs eternal, you wrote it so elegantly Tink...

On petals of violets; and
Feathers of nightingales
We touch and feel...

That's a hope and a prayer right there, lovely.

The dew drop has a very ephemeral existence my friend. Till it's on the top of a leave, it could be taken for a diamond, reflecting all colors of the rainbow.l Once dropped it is just a bit of lowly moisture mingled in earth, bereft of all it's glory. Love and hope are like that too....

My compliments on saying it so beautifully!

Like a Zen reflection. The individual drop losing its identity. I like this a lot. P.

Hope is what keeps us the strength to keep going in tough times... I hate seeing the drop falling of the leaf too cause there is nothing worse then losing all hope.
Spectacular poem.

Thank you Dale..wise words of wisdom from you again :)
I see the connection between peace in the natural world, represented by the water droplet, and how it affects the viewer. As long as the drop hangs where it is, the viewer is peaceful. There is possibility that the drop will stay there, or at least travel to a promising place. However, the fall of the drop thrown all of that into doubt and disorder. A nice little drop of insight here in this piece.
